Communication that connects

Our team participated in a Nonviolent Communication workshop to strengthen how we listen, reflect, and collaborate. Through practical exercises and role play, we explored new ways to communicate with clarity, build trust, and grow stronger together as a team.

Communication that connects

In everyday work, situations regularly arise where communication matters. Different opinions, team responsibilities, decisions that need to be made, or mistakes that require a response. In these moments, clear and respectful communication becomes essential.

That’s why our team participated in a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) workshop.

The term may sound strict at first, but the idea behind it is simple: creating a better way to understand and communicate with one another.

During the workshop we explored:

  • the four steps of Nonviolent Communication
  • how to express observations, feelings, needs, and requests more clearly
  • practical exercises based on typical workplace situations
  • a role-play session that challenged everyone to step into different perspectives

These exercises helped us notice how differently situations can be perceived — and how much communication influences the way people react.

The workshop also created space for reflection:

  • How do we communicate in everyday situations?
  • How do we respond to challenges or mistakes?
  • And how can we strengthen collaboration as a team?

Nonviolent Communication is more than a communication technique. It builds a foundation for:

  • trust
  • mutual understanding
  • constructive feedback
  • and stronger collaboration in challenging moments.
And along the way, we were reminded that learning together as a team can also be a lot of fun.

Because when people truly listen to each other, trust grows — and teams grow with it.
